Nice red, white and blue tin lithograph on this dime bank that was made by J. Chein & Co., in the U.S.A.. I deposited a dime, and it registered. However, it appears than in the past, someone couldn't wait for it to reach $10, at which point it would have automatically opened the bank. The back, tin panel looks like it was pried open ans is askew on one side. See photos of the back side. Probably an easy fix once $10 is reached, and it unlocks. Overall very good condition, and a nice addition to your collection of vintage toy banks, dime banks, or tin lithograph toys. Circa 1940-50.
I currently have several tin, and metal toy banks in my shop, and am happy to combine shipping. To see them all, type, "Bank" in the California Girls search box at the top of the page.
