Lovely, antique, silver plated ,footed compote with handle. It is 5 inches tall, and 9 inches in diameter. It has a pretty, etched design that looks like ferns. There are 2 balls on the top rim that the handle rests on. It rests a bit differently on each side and there is a slight bend to the bowl. For this reason, I am pricing it very low. The Meriden Britannia Company was formed in 1852 in Meriden, Connecticut. They were one of the original companies that joined together to form the International Silver Co. in 1898. This set has the "Meriden B" mark, which would date it within these years. It is also stamped, "1713".

I currently have several pieces of vintage and antique silver plated pieces in my shop, and am happy to combine shipping, when it is safe to do so. I will be adding more pieces over the next few days. To see them all, type, "silver plate" in the California Girls search box at the top of the page.

If you are ordering more than 1 item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
