Large, tin, "Jet Roller Coaster" key wind up, tin action toy that was made in the U.S.A by Wolverine Mfg. Co., circa 1953. It measures 12 inches long in the box, and when you extend the ramp, it's 21 inches long. It's 3 inches wide and comes with the colorful roller coaster car that has nice lithograph graphics of riders inside. The tin car is 3 inches long, and has tin wheels. The car has some play scratches. The coaster, itself is in amazing, near mint condition. Bright and shiny. No dents or rust. Very little wear. The built in key mechanism works well. The on/off lever below it, not so much. It wants to spin while you are winding. Once wound, it shoots the car along the track, like it's supposed to. It usually flips it over onto the other track, like it's supposed to, but for some reason, the car is landing upside down. I don't tinker with these old toys, for fear of damaging them, and if you purchase it, I would ask that you not tinker with it either, until you are sure you will not be returning it. This vintage toy displays beautifully, especially with its original box. Unlike the toy, the box is not in great condition! One end has been taped on all 4 sides, there is a flap missing from the other end, and there is all over wear. Still, hard to find with the box, and great to have it.
