Wonderfully detailed, hand made, clay pottery sculpture that is signed, "Caroline L. Carpio, Isleta Pueblo, NM, 1990". This is an early piece of her work. In 2012, she was named the 2012 Indian Arts and Crafts Association (IACA) Artist of the Year. This figural piece features four, Native American men, singing around a large drum. It is all one piece...the figures do not move. It measures 6 inches in diameter, and the figures are about 3&1/2 inches tall. This piece is perfect, with no damage, or flaws, whatsoever. The vintage, turquoise, hand loomed rug in the photos is not original to the piece, but will be included in the sale. The weight is 1&1/2 pounds, before packing, and will be shipped double boxed, insured, signature required. An outstanding addition to your collection of American Indian Art, as well as a fabulous decorator piece.
