Vintage 1950s gift set that was given to new mothers, upon leaving the hospital with their new babies. It was an advertising promotion from Johnson & Johnson to introduce their baby products, and contains sample sizes of baby powder (in tin), "cotton buds" still sealed inside the box, and a glass bottle of baby lotion, and baby oil. There is also an unused, "Compliments of" card that would have been signed by the hospital, or nursing staff. A little of the baby lotion seems to have evaporated, and has become cloudy, but the other containers are full, and none of them appear to have ever been opened. The box is adorable. It has no tears, or missing flaps, but shows shelf and age wear. It measures about 4 inches tall, by 5 inches wide. The bottles and powder tin are also 4 inches tall. Great display piece, or addition to your collection of vintage advertising samples.
I currently have several other advertising items in my shop, and am happy to combine shipping. To see them all, type, "Advertising" in the California Girls search box at the top of the page.
