Many of these figurines were exported to the United States, as well as other countries, and often sold at train stations, and other tourist destinations, as souvenirs often with the name of the town, or state. They were also given away at local fairs, and thus the term, "Fairing". This porcelain, pink pig in a teacup is marked on the bottom, "Made in Germany", and across the front, in gold leaf, is, Niagara Falls". I can't believe what beautiful condition this antique figurine is in. Absolutely no damage. It is 2&1/2 inches tall, to the top of the pig's head, and about 3 inches at the widest point. Circa 1903-1910.
I currently have other German, pink pigs, as well as other "fairing" animal figurines in my shop, and am happy to combine shipping. To see them all, type, "fairing" in the California Girls search box at the top of the page.
If you are ordering more than 1 item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
