Circa 1910, this antique, heavy stoneware mug was made in Germany for the M. Friedman Furniture House in San Francisco, California. "The Biggest Furniture House on the Pacific Coast". One side shows a raised, relief image the store's building, that was located at 237 Post Street, and the this other side features a lady in fancy dress. It displays well, and has no repairs or paint touch ups, but does have some chipping around the rim, and a 1 inch, tight hairline inside that does not go all the way through. I've included close up photos. It's 5&1/2 inches tall, and would make a great addition to any collection of vintage pottery, advertising, or San Francisco history.
