The television cartoon character Fido Dido was used as a mascot for 7~Up soda pop from the early 1980's through the mid 1990's in Europe and Asia. He was a popular figure here in the States during the 1980's, not so much as an advertising mascot, but rather for his quirky looks, and social messages. "Fido Judges No One" etc. Dakin made of line of licensed toys, and dolls, in his image. This is a HUGE doll that was only available from Dakin to retailers that sold the rest of the line. He's a full 4 feet tall, to the top of his hair. 40 inches to the top of his forehead. This doll was never played with, or undressed. So, his clothes are a bit dingy, but no tears, stains, or odors. His ears, and very cool tennis shoes are made of faux leather. He has the original, sewn in tag from Dakin, San Francisco, Ca., with copyright dates of 1985, and 1988. He's in excellent, slightly dusty condition, with NO seam tears, holes, or repairs. Because I take my photos by natural light, there are some variations in color in the photos, but the first 2 are accurate. he's not yellow! He's just the right softness to be lovable, yet sturdy enough for play. The odds of finding another, are slim, and even slimmer to find one in this condition. I apologize for the high shipping, but this guy is heavy and BIG!
