This is a wonderfully detailed pair of hand made, folk art, clothes pin dolls that were souvenirs of New Orleans. The gray haired gentleman is wearing fabric clothes, and strumming a paper banjo. "New Orleans, LA" is stamped on his pant leg. The mammy ample figure comes from cotton batting under her fabric dress. On her apron is, "New Orleans, LA.". They are 4&1/2 inches tall, and look as though they have been properly stored since they were new. Circa 1940's. I currently have several pieces of vintage Black Americana in my shop, and am happy to combine shipping. To see them all, type "Black Americana" in the California Girls search box at the top of this page.
If you are ordering more than 1 item from my shop, wait to pay until I send back an invoice with the combined shipping discount.
