Absolutely exquisite and rare luncheon set of Copeland Spode plates and serving dishes. All pieces have wide green borders on a white ground. There are three cartouches on the border, richly decorated with thick heavy gold lamberkins with fabulous floral and fruit garlands in the center. Also in the center of each piece there is a larger glorious floral bouquet, again with fruit accents. Each floral arrangement is unique. The quality of the painting is top flight. The green bands are also decorated with tiny gilt dotted circles. The edges are heavily gilt, and the bottom also has that fine gilt border representing the finest porcelain manufacture. This is a very rare set, and in mint condition. No flaws at all; no gilt loss, crazing, chips or flakes.
Please see photos for dimensions and marks. All pieces are marked with the Copeland Spode stamp, the retailer's stamp and impressed date marks for January 1908. Over 100 years old and like new!
