Good antique perfume bottle dating from 1870. The body of the scent is carved rock crystal. It has silver fittings, top and bottom, very decoratively engraved and set with cabochon turquoise alternating with charming applied blossoms. The very top cabochon is of reddish hue, possibly a garnet. At least that would be consistent with the overall quality of this piece. The original stopper, still with the scent, also made of rock crystal. It bears the Austria-Hungary dog's head mark for .800 silver, and a maker's mark I am unable to identify. A fine addition to a scent collection.
