This is quite an elegant fan dating from 1880. Hand-made lace of floral decoration upon black tulle spread across the tortoise shell sticks and guards. The shell sticks and guards boasts exquisite pique work: inlaid silver polka dots. This theme is carried out on the lace with hand sewn shimmering sequins. In all a dazzling sparkling fan! It comes with the original box, satin lined and bearing the name of the maker: Ernest Kees, 9 Boulevard des Capucines-Paris. The tooled leather box is also in good condition, some modest wear, and engraved in gold with the initials "C.M."
Dimensons are on the photos.
