Vintage Sterling Turquoise Artist Signed Necklace

This vintage sterling and turquoise necklace came to me from a Maine estate. The sides of the necklace are made up of tabs interspersed with both round and cylindrical bench made beads that are perfectly matched on each side, all original. The necklace is strung on twisted cord that appears waxed and ends with a hook and eye clasp. Centered in the middle is a pear shaped drop pendant which measures from the bottom of the bale 15/16" and 5/8" at the widest point. The turquoise has a slight golden brown matrix, is a pretty robin's egg blue and is set flush with the silver. The turquoise tabs (some very slightly nugget sized) blend beautifully with the drop turquoise though they have a black matrix which makes me think they are Kingman turquoise.. The pendant is signed sterling and has a maker's hallmark. There is also patina on the back of the pendant and the beads which I have not cleaned, leaving that to the new owner. The hallmark could be F P, or E P, or L U P, or L I P. As you can see, depending on how you turn the pendant, you can have a different hallmark. The necklace dates from the 1970's to 1980's era and measures 20" in length with an additional drop of the pendant which is about 1". The necklace is lovely and extremely well made no matter who the artist was. It is hard to say weather it is Navajo or from one of the pueblos,as I can not ascertain the the owner of the hallmark.
