This beautiful glass bead and leaf bracelet looks so much like a Miriam Haskell piece, but it is signed Robert deMario N.Y.C. DeMario worked for Haskell during the early 1940's and then opened his own facility in 1945. He used Austrian crystals and rhinestones which give sparkle to his jewelry, and the blues in this bracelet are lovely. His business closed in the early 1960's, so his work is hard to find. The bracelet is fully signed with his cartouche on the clasp which is in fine working order. There are four strands of glass beads and leaves to the bracelet which measures 7" in length. Not every leaf is perfect, but they all blend in together when worn. I see 5 with the tips gone ; they are on the two outside strands and are not sharp to the touch. The bracelet is stunning but not perfect and is priced accordingly. It will be a lovely addition to your vintage jewelry collection and looks lovely on, a fine piece from a rare designer, and a Maine estate piece.
