It is getting harder and harder to find Juliana items out of estates, but this set is from a Portland, Maine estate and is in excellent condition, having been well cared for over the years. It is a book piece shown in Katerina Musetti's Juliana book as well as Ann Pitman's Juliana book. The stones are called " birthday cake" because of the layers which resemble a birthday cake. The gold dots on the layers are in superb condition though it is hard to get them all to show because of angles in the photos. They are not worn. All the clasps are in fine working order as well. The gold-tone plating is very bright with a little less brilliance on the bracelet. It could have been worn more, though it would have been in contact with the skin as the brooch would not have been. The bracelet measures 7 and 1/2" in length while the brooch measures 2 and 1/4" in diameter and with three layers, the height is about 1 and 1/4" as well. The earrings measure 1" by 1 and 1/8" with a good snap to the clips. There is no necklace to the set, but it came with another brooch which is also a pendant and more earrings. However, they are NOT a part of this set. If you are interested in them, let me know, and I will be glad to list them for you. The set is lovely with the unusual art glass stones, a fine set to add to your vintage or Juliana collection.
