If you love citrines, this is a beautiful Victorian/Edwardian era 14K gold ring set with a beautiful vibrant citrine. It is unmarked for gold content meaning it dates before the federal Standard Stamping Act of 1906. I tested it, and it tests 14K. I also had my jeweler test it as well, and again it tested 14K. In addition, I had it tested to make certain the stone was a citrine, and it is. The setting sits high at 1/4" which is very Victorian. I have heard the style of the setting sometimes called a Tiffany setting. The citrine is quite large measuring 6.5 mm in diameter, almost 1 carat in size, and is open at the back to let the light shine through. The ring is a 5 1/2 on my ring mandrel and weighs 2.1 grams on my jewelry scale. It is from a Maine estate and in excellent condition. I had my jeweler check the prongs which are all tight and secure and polish the gold setting. It is a beautiful ring and ready to wear, and if you love citrines, this is one that is simply brilliant!.
