A lovely Antique Asian Imari or Satsuma Charger. The Charger is Japanese Your charger is Japanese Kutani ware from Nagasaki
Prefecture. It is signed '"Kutani Sei" and dates from the late Meiji or Taisho period, circa 1900-20. It is hand painted on the interior and exterior and features a lovely design with Birds and Chrysanthemum Flowers. The diameter is 13" in diameter x 2 1/2" deep. It is in very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. The only thing to note is a pinpoint nick on the edge and a crows foot on the back that does not look like it comes through to the front, see photos. There is one tiny faint spot in the background. The Kutani Charger would make a fine addition to an antique Japanese décor or pottery collection.
