A nice Antique Apothecary Jar. The Jar is made of heavy white porcelain and has a hand painted image of a plant, it is signed "Eleboro Blanco", the plant is poisonous and is in the Liliaceae or Melanthiaceae family, it is native to Europe and parts of western Asia. The porcelain Apothecary Jar is most like French, Limoges. Overall dimensions are 11" high x 5 1/2" in diameter. The Apothecary Jar is in very good overall condition with no chips or cracks. There is wear to the gilt gold pinstripes but the lettering and plant are fine. The Apothecary Jar would be perfect in an a Drug store or medical related collection.
