A nice early Antique Sewing Box. The Box is a dome shaped leather box with compartments for scissors, a hollow lid for thread, etc and a fitted panel inside the lid for tools. This is early, probably 1860s-1870s. It measures 6" x 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" high. The Box is in good condition for it;s age and fragile nature. One end has an open seam and dents but the lid closes fine so it has been this way a long time. The silk interior has some wear. The little sewing box would be perfect to display antique tools.
