A nice antique (circa 1860-1870s) Architectural Fragment. The Fragment is made of cast iron and depicts a Weeping Willow Tree, it is most likely from a fence from a cemetery. The Weeping Willow Tree became a popular symbol for mourning during the Civil War. This fragment measures 9" wide x 19 5/8" excluding the pins, it weighs over 6 1/2 pounds. The Weeping Willow Architectural Fragment is in good overall condition. It has a wonderful weathered surface. There are missing & bend pins, see photos. This is one of 4 matching fragments I have, please see my store Neatcurios for the others.
