A very pretty antique (circa late 1800s) porcelain plaque. The plaque depicts a Cherub Angel, she is hand painted on porcelain and has a few highlights in white enamel on her sleeves. The Plaque is mounted to a wood backboard and has an old price tag of 15 cents, there is an old loss to the wood on the right hand edge, see photos. It is European in origin and most likely a souvenir from the Grand Tour. Overall dimensions are 4 3/4" x 4" excluding the hanger and the porcelain measures 3 1/4" x 2 3/4". The Cherub Angel Plaque is in good condition for her age. There is a small scratch by one wing and and by her thumb, see photos. The Plaque has surface wear if you look with a magnifier which is not visible to the naked eye. The Cherub Angel would be perfect in a child's room or above a Babies Crib. She is lovely.
