A rare antique (circa 1830-1840s or so) Staffordshire Teapot. The Teapot is decorated in pink and green, it is hard to find multi colored transferware of this age, the two color design required a second firing which made the wares expensive to produce and at risk for damage with the second firing in the kiln. I can't remember the last time I saw a 2 tone Teapot. This lovely example has a small impressed mark, it resembles a daisy flower. Overall dimensions are 10 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 6 1/4" high including the finial. The Teapot has a chip on the spout and small nicks inside the lid, see closeup photos. It would make a lovely addition to an Early Staffordshire collection.
