A rare pair of antique blown glass bottles. The bottles were made for a fitted box and were probably for a traveling decanter set or vanity case for cologne or perfume. They are quite early circa 1830-40s or so and were hand blown, there are pontil marks on the bottom and the sides were polished so they fit snug in a box. The Bottles are complete with the original stoppers, they are decorated in gilt gold with ribbon bows and flowers, one is marked with the number 51 and the other 124. Each Bottle measures 6 1/4" high including the stopper x 2 5/8" x 2". The Pair are in very good overall condition. There is some cloudiness insides from use and indents in the glass on the sides where they were blown & polished, see photos. One stopper has significant wear to the gilt gold, the bottom of the stoppers have tiny nicks from use. The Bottles would be perfect in an antique distillery, perfume or vanity set. Both Bottles are being offered for one price.
