A rare pair of antique (circa early 1800) Homespun Linens. One is a sheet or blanket with a center seam and the other is a single panel. Each was hand made on a loom from thin threads of linen, I can't imagine how long it would take to make a single panel let alone all three. Both pieces are signed with the makers initials "A S". The sheet/blanket measures 69" x 86" and the single panel is 87" x 32". Both items are in very good overall condition with no holes, tears or repairs. They do have some small stains and discoloration in the form of brownish marks, it effects the single panel overall. These have not been cleaned in a long time, the fabric is strong and could be washed with care. The Home Spun Linens would make an excellent addition to an early textile collection. Both pieces are being offered for one price.
