Antique 19thC Italian Christian Wood Carving, Holy Family
An Antique (circa 1800s) hand carved wood Sculpture of the Virgin Mary & Jesus. The Sculpture is Italian and is carved from a heavy hard wood, it retains the original painted finish and measures 10 1/4" wide x 8 1/4" high. The Religious Sculpture was made to sit on a rail or another object, it has losses to the bottom two edges, you can display it on a table but it wobbles so a small something underneath one side would help. It is in good overall condition, there is some surface wear and small losses to the wood which you can see in the photos. It is dusty, I didn't clean it because I wasn't sure what to use on the painted finish.
