Antique Japanese Satsuma Oil Lamp Base, Hand Painted

A very unusual Antique (circa late 1800s, early 1900) Japanese satsuma Oil Lamp Base. This could be also used as a vase for dried flowers or as a planter. The Satsuma has a form of a vase on a stand, it is decorated with flowers and a butterfly and is hand painted and has gilt gold highlighting. The top has a wide brass mount where a font would go. This is large banquet sized and measures 12 1/2" high x 10" across the handles, the top opening is just over 5" in diameter. The Satsuma Vase is in good overall condition. There is one very tiny nick on the bottom edge and some overall wear mainly to the bottom "stand" especially on the gold, see photos. The Vase has a wonderful decorative quality.
