Offered for purchase is a beautiful Royal Bavaria Arts & Crafts Handled Serving Plate/Dish (Signed/c.1910-1930) hand-painted/decorated in the US or Canada as part of the Arts & Crafts movement. The design is by Elsie Strache and may be found in the November 1911 edition of Keramic Studio Magazine. Keramic Studio Magazine was a monthly publication for the amateur porcelain/china decorator which provided designs, detailed instructions on porcelain/china decorating, as well as articles and photographs of competitions and displays between various china decorating studios and clubs. The magazine was first published in May 1899 and continued into the late-1920’s. The dish is in excellent condition... no chips, cracks or repairs, although there are some surface scratches and wear from age and use. The dish is approximately 8.5 inches in diameter including the handles. The bottom is marked as indicated in the pictures.
