Offered for purchase is a beautiful Favorite Bavaria Arts & Crafts Creamer & Sugar (Signed "B. Campbell"/c.1910-1940). The design for this item is by Helen Smith and may be found in the May 1909 issue of Keramic Studio Magazine. Keramic Studio Magazine was a monthly publication for the amateur porcelain/china decorator which provided designs, detailed instructions on porcelain/china decorating, as well as articles and photographs of competitions and displays between various china decorating studios and clubs. The magazine was first published in May 1899 and continued into the late-1920’s. We can provide photocopies of the page from the publication with the design of this item with your purchase if specifically requested.
The set is in excellent condition… no chips, cracks or repairs, although there are some minor surface scratches and gold wear from age and use. The sugar bowl is approximately 5.25 inches long, 3 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall inclusive of the handles. The creamer is approximately is 4.5 inches long from the handle to spout, 3 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall including the handle. The bottom of each piece is marked as indicated in the pictures.
