Offered for purchase is a beautiful Rosenthal Bavaria Violet Motif Creamer & Sugar Set (Signed "Burch"/c.1903-1930). The design for this set is by Edith Alma Ross and may be found in the November 1903 issue of Keramic Studio Magazine. The magazine was first published in May 1899 and continued into the late-1920’s. We can provide photocopies of the page from the publication with the design of this item with your purchase if specifically requested.
The set is in excellent condition… no chips, cracks or repairs, although there are some minor surface scratches and gold wear from age and use. The sugar bowl is 6 inches long including the handles, 4 inches wide and 3.75 inches tall including the lid. The creamer is 5 inches long from handle to spout, 3 inches wide and 3 inches tall. The bottom of each piece is marked as indicated in the pictures.
