Offered for purchase is a beautiful RS Prussia Tillowitz Silesia Floral Motif Tiered Caviar Serving Plate/Dish (Signed "A.B. Elliff"/Dated 1926) hand-painted/decorated in the US or Canada as part of the Arts & Crafts movement.
The design for this item is by Matilda Middleton and is found in the August 1909 edition of Keramic Studio Magazine. Keramic Studio Magazine was a monthly publication for the amateur porcelain/china decorator which provided designs, detailed instructions on porcelain/china decorating, as well as articles and photographs of competitions and displays between various china decorating studios and clubs. The magazine was first published in May 1899 and continued into the late-1920’s. The dish is in excellent condition... no chips or cracks, although there are some surface wear from age and use. The dish is approximately 3 inches tall and 9.5 inches in diameter. The background to the floral design is a lustre finish, adding to the beauty of the serving dish. The bottom is marked as indicated in the pictures.
