Offered for purchase is a beautiful Hutschenreuther Bavaria Arts & Crafts Floral "Wild Hollyhock" Motif Bowl (Signed "Mildred"/c.1930-1940) hand-painted/decorated in the US or Canada as part of the Arts & Crafts movement. The design for this bowl is by J.M. Culbertson and is found in the March 1913 edition of Keramic Studio Magazine. Keramic Studio Magazine was a monthly publication for the amateur porcelain/china decorator which provided designs, detailed instructions on porcelain/china decorating, as well as articles and photographs of competitions and displays between various china decorating studios and clubs. The magazine was first published in May 1899 and continued into the late-1920’s. The bowl is in great condition… no chips, cracks or repairs, although there are some minor surface scratches from age and use. The bowl is 2.5 inch deep and 12 inches in diameter. The bottom is marked as indicated in the pictures.
