This large Grand Victorian period pendant can also be worn as a brooch and weighs a hefty 23.7 grams of solid 14k gold!
This magnificent piece was crafted during the 1880's, when jewelry was bold and weighty. Gold was more plentiful during this period, and fabrics were heavier, so jewelers followed suit and created these substantial, wearable sculptures. There is enough foxtail chain in each tassel to make a neck chain!
The pendant/ brooch measures 3 1/4" in length. It is shown worn on a 10k gold which is sold separately, but could also be worn on a ribbon necklace. The condition is very good. There is one slight indentation to the gallery on the back of one tassel, and a very minor enamel repair to the right center of the top of the piece.
