This is an original Art Deco "Texaco" desk designed by Walter Dorwin Teague. We have seen these before, but only with black tops. We have never seen and cannot find another that has the iconic Art Deco design on the top of this one. Teague was also responsible for many of the Art Deco designs for Kodak cameras, many of which mimic the laminate surface of this desk. He may have made a prototype merging the Texaco desk design with the Kodak design to create this piece. Perhaps it was a custom build for a Texaco executive. It is in very good Antique condition, with light areas of fading to the top as visible in the pictures. There are minor scratches and scuffs here and there and some on the right edge and corner that are more noticeable, as shown in the close-ups. Overall, it is very presentable and usable, with an attached bank of three drawers. It measures 46" wide by 24" deep and 30 3/4" high. Not included but available is the matching roll-top metal file cabinet in the pictures. There is no international shipping on this piece.
We can have this delivered to your door anywhere in the 48 contiguous states for $450.00.
