This is a clear enamel vase over Basse-aille. It has silver mounts on the Mouth and Base of the vase. The vase is designed so that the motif on the vase shows through the glaze. This vase is c. 1930 and is referred to as pigeon blood due to the coloring of the Akasuke enamel. If you look closely you are able to see the decoration of bamboo and birds.
