This is an adorable and collectible rare Coro miniature figural brooch, designed by Adolph Katz in 1950 for the iconic jewelry maker. The brooch is a sweet elephant with a clear jelly belly brooch cabochon as the central feature, and it has a little figure riding the elephant made of a faceted sky blue rhinestone. The body of the elephant brooch is a mild gold-tone metal. This small but mighty pin is the perfect gift for the midcentury era jewelery collector, Mad Men style enthusiast, or lucky elephant lover in your life.
The brooch is in excellent vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and patina, namely minor scuffing/rubbing consistent with age and use. It measures 1 1/4 inch long and 1 inch wide.
