This is a glorious pair of 1950s MCM European modernist alabaster and brass boudoir lamps or accent lamps, with perfectly stunning tapered columns on a square base. The lamps are very evocative of the style of Tommi Parzinger, known for high brow modernist midcentury designs, and noted for working with clients such as Marilyn Monroe. The brass details bring warmth to a traditionally cool material like alabaster, and allow just a hint of fun as an element for these very cosmopolitan, high design lamps. They would be great in a variety of design schemes and would look wonderful in a bedroom, living room, or even a master bathroom.
The measure 25 1/2 inches tall from base to finial, and they measure 3 1/2 inches wide at the base. The lamps are in excellent vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. There is some scuffing and patina consistent with age, which we have provided evidence of in close ups. There are a few "fleabites" in the alabaster at the corners of the base, only noticeable under scrutiny.
