This is a stunning Bohemian glass box in cobalt blue with beautiful white enamel decoration on all sides. This box is painted in the Mary Gregory style, on the lid of the box there is a child who looks to be painting on a canvas. He is crouched on the ground painting a beautiful maiden in a flowing gown. The child is surrounded by plants and flowers. On the front of the box is a flower, and on the sides and back are more floral and foliage in white. The edge of lid is beveled and painted with little white dots. This box is perfect for your special jewels or just for decoration. The box has a lock, but alas there is no key. The box measures 4 3/4" long x 3 3/4" high x 3 " deep. Please note: On the rear right bottom edge of the box, there are 3 or 4 tiny chips that constitute(in total) 1/4" long area along the bottom of the box. There are 2 or 3 fleabites rising up from the side. They are smaller than one millimeter high. They do not detract from the appearance of this rare box.
