This is an awesome vintage 1970s era signed Lucien Piccard runway style oversized statement pendant necklace. The large gold tone pendant features the image of a side profile of an art nouveau figure that evokes the late 19th- and early 20th-century portraiture and style of Alphonse Mucha, with perhaps a mythological nod to Mercury or Hermes. The portrait is bordered in a bright gold tone metal setting with amazing detailed decorative elements and encircled with a single row of channel-set faceted sapphire blue crystals.
There is likely one crystal missing, as they are a bit loose and they move to fill an extra space in the channel if you fuss with the crystals.
The back of the pendant is signed Lucien Piccard. The pendant is strung on a rope-length vintage 1970s-80s Monet gold tone necklace chain, which perfectly matches the piece and evokes exactly the right kind of oversize statement. The necklace has a signed Monet hang tag at the closure.
The necklace measures 27 inches long end to end. The pendant is 3.5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide.
