This is a vintage acrylic on canvas (possibly mounted to a board) painting of a hunter with his two hunting dogs. He's cradling his trusty rifle in the crook of his arm so that he can light his pipe. He is standing in a wide open field with two hunting dogs who are sniffing the ground for a scent. They appear to be bird hunting, because it looks like they've already successfully collected a few which are possibly hanging in a pouch at the man's waist. This is a great scene that we don't see very often, perfect for a man-cave or cottage or hunting cabin in the woods. The frame is wood with gold gilt and ornate detail at the corners. The back of the frame is covered with brown paper and has wire for hanging. The painting is in excellent condition with some fading. The frame is also in excellent condition with some chips and minor surface wear. The piece measures 15.25" wide, 11.5" tall, and 1.5" deep.
