Circa 1820's to 1840s American Walnut Pier Mirror with wood Rosettes, Reverse Paint & Gold Foil Decorated "Overseas Commerce Theme" on the top Glass Tablet !!! Gold Foil Seated Woman Holding an upright Rake, and a filled Cornucopia representing Harvest, and a Sailing Ship which stands for Overseas Trade. This was a common theme after the War of 1812 whereas America was again Trading Freely with England.
Frame Measures ; Overall 38 1/4 inches Long, and 20 1/2 inches Wide. Depth of Top molding is 3 inches , and 1 3/4 inches thick at bottom.
Small piece of "Return Molding" missing on the top right corner, as seen in the last photo. Also seems to have had a bead molding around the bottom.
