Thomas Buchanan ; Private : 122nd Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers Mustered in Aug. 11, 1862, Company “E” , mustered out with company on May 15,1863 Dept. of Quarter Master Sargent : Jacob Martin Captain of Co. "E" was : Andrew R. Byerly , one signature on envelope. Colonel was : E. (Emlen) Franklin, signature on one of the Envelopes. ________________________________________ Background Homestead ; Honey Brook, Chester County,Pa. Corresponded with Miss Rebecca M. Buchanan, his Sister. He was a Student at Millersville University, in Lancaster County when enlisted. I believe he was a student of theology for Presbyterian Church.
