Rare "Baton Rouge Coca Cola Bottling Works * Corner St. Louis & Europe Sts." Advertiser Clock with Hourly Strike in a Rich Walnut Figure 8 Case made by Ansonia Clock Co. circa 1906 to 1915 !!!
This "Figure Eight", aka "Ionic" type of Clocks, were made between the 1870's to 1915. Both Round Doors & Bow-tie section with Carved Flower Buttons are Solid Walnut, pine secondary wood back board, with the outside of the Case still done with Rosewood Veneer on the sides. Retains it's original Excellent Square "Ansonia Clock Co. * Salesrooms ; 99 John Street,NY. / Factory Brooklyn,NY. " Factory Paper Label visible inside the lower door on the back board. (Connecticut factory was closed down in 1883 after this Brooklyn Factory was rebuilt after the Fire of 1880) Dial Glass is Old & Wavy. Adjusted both Brass Latch Hooks to snugly hold the doors closed.
Has the original marked Ansonia Brass 8 Day Time & Strike Movement. Movement has been removed, Professionally Cleaned and Serviced on 6-14-16.
Measurements : Overall 24 inches High, 15 1/2 inches Wide at Wood Door Bezel, and 5 inches Deep.
