Super Rare “Pabst Lever Burner” #2 size Patent Dated 1891 !!! Just a Super Rare Burner to Own. The Large adjustable Lever with the Loop on the end acts as a Pivot used to raise or lower the Wick’s position inside the wick tube. Pulling the Lever out of it’s joint, dis-engages the wick Forks, and allows you to replace the wick or re-adjust the wick height to a different level.
Left Side of Body Reads : “Pabst’s Lever Oil Burner” Right Side of Body Reads : “Patented Nov. 10th,1891”
Copy of Patent drawing will be included with this burner. Pabst was only awarded 2 US Patents, this 1891 version, and another later in 1892. Standard 3 inch # 2 size burner takes a 3 inch straight bottom slip fitter chimney, and the illustrated Pearl Top Chimney is included.
Condition : Complete in Fair Condition with Good working threads and normal dark brass aged patina. However, one of the Prongs has been replaced, plus the Original Heat Dome Reflector is paper thin and is starting to fracture. The Deflector Snaps on & off of the main burner with the 2 opposing brass tabs. However, I have also including a New tapered Brass Heat Dome Deflector, as seen in the last photo, if you wish to replace it for Display Purposes.
Pricing Note : I've only sold One other Pabst Burner in the past, in slightly better condition for $800.00
