Civil War Period Gilded Figural Stem "Girl with Basket" Parlor Lamp as seen in the 1860's Dietz Catalog !!! Dietz collaborated a lot with Sandwich Glass to attain a variety of Awesome Designs between their Metal Bases and the Glass Founts & Stems, as seen in their 1860's catalog.
Rare Sandwich produced Gold Trimmed "Three Helmeted Roman Soldiers & Orange Greek Key Decorations" on a Clambroth Glass Fount. Figural Stem Barefooted Girl is holding a Basket on one arm and leaning on a tree stump, with a Triple Footed Base which is as Finely Detailed in the Back, as it is in the Front.
Un-disputably Authentic 1860's Period Lamp, including the marked "Novelty" Burner with the Pull-Down Skirt for Lighting the Wick, and it's Rare 4 inch Shade Support Ring. Thumbwheel is also Patent Dated "1863 & 1868".
Antique Oregon Shade with Engraved "Grape & Vine" motif also has Frosted Bands & Cut Dots. Shade has a Hand Tooled Ruffle Top, and a straight 4 inch fitter.
Only the Custom Blown Glass "Flange Lip Chimney" with frosted flame area is modern. Needed a taller than usual tapered blown glass chimney to rise above the Shade for effect.
Measures : Overall Stands 37 inches High. Lamp alone is 15 inches from Base to top of brass Collar.
Weight : 5 Pounds and 12.3 Ounces.
