Pre Civil War "Sparking Lamp" with Applied Finger Loop complete with Original Pewter Camphene Burner & Collar !!! Circa 1830's to 1855.
Early 2 Part Blown/Molded Sparking Lamp with Hand applied Finger Loop & Original Pewter Threaded with Tapered Brass Camphene Tube Burner & small matching Pewter Collar on Lamp !!! Circa 1830's to 1850's.
The Gaffer applied the jug shaped Finger Loop and ended the bottom with Ripples and a Curl. Retains the original pasted-on Pewter Collar with the two fine incised lines. Burner is missing the small snuffer cap & Chain. Originally had a chain since there is a tiny chain anchor hole on the edge of the burner lip. This lamp is Priced Half of Book value.
Condition : Glass is Undamaged with lots of neat trapped air bubbles. Burner has normal wear and wrinkles, missing tiny snuffer cap & chain.
Measures overall height 4 3/4 inches tall from base to tip of burner tube, and lamp alone is only 3 1/4 inches High from base to top of collar.
Weighs : 6.6 Ounces.
