Rare "Shield, Star, & Feather" Pattern Oil Lamp Circa 1860's !!!
Rare Civil War Period "Shield, Star, and Feather" Pattern Oil Lamp Circa 1860's !!! There are 2 Shields, Eight Pointed Stars, and Feathers around the Draped Perimeter of the fount with the lower Petal Type tapering down to a Hexagon faceted bottom above the peg on the fount.
Condition : No Cracks or Chips Found. Very Solid Set up. I personally re-pasted the old original previously polished brass Fine-Line Collar. I left the Brass Stem Parts with the darker aged Brass patina.
The Nice Pearl Top Zero Chimney and Burner are unmarked and included free.
Historical Notes : No Book References found on this Rare pattern. I have been collecting all the "Shield & Star" Pattern Oil lamps for the past 35 Years and this is the only Second example of this Rare pattern that I have ever found. ( I'm keeping the First one.)
Measures : Overall 15 1/2 inches High from base to top of Chimney. Lamp alone is 9 1/4 inches High, with a 3 7/8 inch square Marble base.
Weight : 2 Pounds, and 9.4 Ounces complete.
