Rare Early version of "Periwinkle" Pattern Oil Lamp with Marble Base which is made of Quality Leaded Glass and Fine 3 part Molded Glass Circa 1860's !!! Original Brass Stem & Fine Line Collar both have a dark aged Patina. Glass is 3 part molded with Vertical Ribbing behind the pattern details, and a couple of trapped air bubbles down near the peg. Square marble Base is 4 by 4 inches and 15/16 of an inch thick with a period Square Nut underneath.
The Zero Burner has Pierced Tear Drop Prongs and is thumbwheel marked : "Venus * Pat. DEC. 10,1867"
The Fine Petal Top Chimney is also a Thicker Blown Glass in the Zero Size.
Complete with Wick supplied.
Lamp Measures ; 8 3/4 inches from base to top of Brass Collar. Overall height is 16 inches from base to top of chimney.
Weighs : 2 Pounds and 13.7 Ounces.
