Great Patent Dated 1885 Tin Wall Sconce with Removable Oil Lamp & Built in Match Holders !!! Circa 1885.
Tin Wall Sconce with Original Removable Tin Finger Oil Lamp !!! Die Stamped "Patented June 30,1885" on Front of Wall Plate. Has a Deluxe Round embossed Reflector Built into the Tin Wall Sconce compared to the flat one shown on the patent drawing. Great Design also includes 2 built-in side compartment Holders for New & Burnt Matches, with a ribbed "Match Striker Surface" across the lower Front of the Fount Shelf. I've also included a paper copy of the US Patent office design. Has a # 2 size Fancy Pie Crust Chimney.
Nice embossed #2 size Burner with Patent Dated Thumbwheel: "P.& A. Pat. 1-16-68 & 8-17-97"
Overall Measurements are 12 1/2 inches High, by 6 7/8 Inches Wide, by 4 5/8 inches Deep .
Weighs 1 Pound and 3.2 Ounces complete.
Condition : Awesome Aged Patina on all Tin Surfaces. All solder joints are intact, and the Oil Tank has been internally Sealed and is Guaranteed Not to Leak.
