"MASSON" constructed in Paris on the makers name tag, Ca. 1890. VERY nice hand lantern with 3 sided glass panes. Has the double wire handles on rear and a single wire handle bail on top. Front door opens with a wire slide latch. Fount has a ring tab to slide it out of the box. The flat wick burn has a small thumb wheel and a brass filler cap. Fabricated of heavy iron sheeting.

Brass Maker's Tag reads as follows ; "MASSON Constructeur Brevete S.G.D.G. Av. LEDRU-ROLLIN, 7 Paris"

Dimensions: Overall stands 9 1/4 inches to top of bail handle; lantern is 7 1/4 inches tall, 3 3/4 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches deep.
