A True Piece of Art with Artist Applied Stained Glass Decorations. Commissioned Post Civil War 1865 window due to the Peace-Time Wreath Theme. I counted 192 Pieces of glass, of which ALL are Cut, or Artist Decorated, except the smaller thin strips of glass used in the Double Borders.
All Surrounding Patriotic Stars & Circular Medallion Border Star Pieces are cased in Blue & Red Glass, and then were all Hand Cut to Frosted Glass ! Last photo is the Exterior exposed Black Frame.
Minor Restoration work done ; I picked out all the loose wood putty between the Leaded Glass Window perimeter and the Wood Window Frame. Re-glazed it with Durham's Rock Had wood putty, and Repainted wood frame with Original White on interior side, and Black on the exterior Border.

Historical Notes : There were 36 States in the Union at the End of the Civil War in 1865, until the Ratification of the 37th State on March 1st,1867. Window came from an unknown Connecticut State location, and probably came out of a decommissioned G.A.R. Post since this was a very expensive Window to have made.
Helpful Hanging Tips ; Can be displayed AS-IS in front of a pre-existing window by hanging it from the 2 Eyelet Hooks supplied. Or install this new oak frame into a new wall "Rough Window Opening" with room on the sides to evenly shim, then covering the edges with wood trim molding.
